ART: Star Wars Sketches
Here are a few sketches I had done around the November timeframe to celebrate the release of the latest Star Wars film, Episode 7 - "The Force Awakens". They are obviously the classic characters of the franchise but they were the ones that inspired me at the time. Till my next post. Thanks, everyone!

ART: Heroes Wall
This has been a work in progress for over a year now and will continue to be "in progress" as I continue to add more and more characters. Let me know who you'd like to see next. I do plan to start a Villains Wall as well. Till my next post. Thanks, everyone!

The latest addition to the wall is Deadpool who I added at the start of February.
It started with these guys. I don't think introductions are necessary. I had drawn this for a work activity. I handled a number of projects and each were represented by a superhero. Hey, one's got to keep work interesting at all times.
I added Wolverine into the mix which kicked off the official start of my Heroes Wall. I drew him prior to the four above.
Black Widow came next. I drew her primarily based on the Avenger's movie version design.
Psylocke. One of my all time favorite comic book characters. Can't wait to see the new X-Men movie with her (finally) in it!
Wonder Woman. The wall was dominated by Marvel characters so it was time to balance things out a bit and who better than the original female superheroine?
Darna. Not DC, not Marvel. She's a Filipino comic book character created in the 60's. Some say she's a poor man's (woman's) version of Wonder Woman but according to her creator, Mars Ravelo, his inspiration came from Superman.

Rorschach. Arguably one of the best characters from the modern age of comics. He's from The Watchmen by Alan Moore.
Captain America. Like Black Widow, I used the movie version design. He just looks more soldier-like this way.
The Incredible Hulk. He was quite a challenge to draw. His exaggerated features were tough to proportion.
Rocket Raccoon. I'll admit that I didn't know about this character until I watched "The Guardians of the Galaxy".
Deadpool. As mentioned earlier, he's the latest addition to the wall. Not exactly the hero type but I bought into the hype of the movie and so now he's here.

Darna Meets Iron Man #1

Art: Jopet Garcia
Dialogue: Miel Ondevilla
This is my first four panel comic popularly known as "Yonkoma". I was always curious of what would happen if Filipino comic book characters ran into their North American counterparts. Obviously, four panels are not enough to fully explore this curiosity but it's a start. Big thanks to Miel Ondevilla who provided the sweet dialogue which brought my artwork to life. Let me know what you think by leaving a comment below. Till my next post. Thanks, everyone!
