ART: Star Lord / Chris Pratt Sketch

I must admit Star Lord was never a comic book character I paid much attention to.  That all changed after I saw The Guardians of The Galaxy on the big screen.  Chris Pratt gave the character a very likeable cocky-ness to the character.  I like to call it "humble arrogance".  I did this drawing after watching Jurassic World, another favorite of mine.  Hope you like it.  Please check out my other drawings in my previous posts.  Till my next post.  Thanks, everyone!

ART: Golden State Warriors, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson & Draymond Green

These are pencil sketches of the NBA record breaking Golden State Warriors.  I took the three individual sketches of now back-to-back NBA MVP Stephen Curry, Splash Brother Klay Thompson and Triple Double Machine Draymond Green and combined these into a layout to celebrate their 73-9 regular season record.  Let's see if all these accolades translate into a repeat championship in June.  Till my next post.  Thanks, everyone!

ART: Star Wars Sketches Part III

Next up in my Star Wars sketch series is new generation antagonist, Kylo Ren. I really like how they introduced the character in the latest Star Wars movie and can't wait to see how he develops across the two next films.

He's wasn't an easy sketch but not as tough as I thought given that he's got so much detail on his mask. I'll be adding him to my Star Wars digital mural project and will be posting images soon. Till my next post. Thanks, everyone!

ART: Suicide Squad - Harley Quinn

In anticipation of the Suicide Squad movie coming out this year, I'm starting a collection of drawings inspired by the main characters of the film. Here is the first of hopefully many drawings, Harley Quinn. As you can see I've had to make a few tweaks and adjustments to the piece from pencils to inks and finally colors (Photoshop) until I was happy with the end result. Till my next post. Thanks, everyone!

Below is the penciled version which turned out good in my opinion and was ready for inking.

Her jaw got a little too angular from penciled version to inked. I didn't know it at the time but I made her legs a bit too stocky as well. Not necessarily a good feature for this comic book character.

Once I laid down all the color using Photoshop, I fixed her jaw, gave her a less stocky looking right leg and did away with the tongue sticking out as I later figure out is not a natural thing us humans are be able to do.

ART: Star Wars Sketches Part II

Adding to my collection of Star Wars related drawings are Rey, Yoda and an improved Luke Skywalker. They will be part of my Star Wars digital mural which I will be posting soon. Till my next post. Thanks, everyone!
